Get the Answers You Need
A major frustration I experience as a medical physicist is how difficult it is to find the information I need to perform my daily clinical duties. Textbooks and task group reports provide generalized guidance on what you are expected to do, but do not provide the how and why, so they are not practical. Vendor manuals provide generalized processes embedded in hundreds of pages and rarely provide the workflow you actually need.
One must often combine multiple sections of one or several manuals and after a few calls to tech support fill the missing pieces. As research in our field advances, multiple papers are published, and one must comb through dozens of publications to piece together the information needed. For a physicist working in a busy clinic, especially if working solo, this is impractical. This website attempts to resolve this problem. As a locum physicist I work with a myriad of technologies and applications, so I have been able to create a large number of documents that provide step-by-step instructions and only the relevant information (no fluff). The countless hours searching through manuals and publications, on the phone with tech support, and testing and updating workflows have already been done for you. Simply post a question and immediately get the information you need.
